NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Titans first-round draft pick
Warmack will use a break in the schedule to attend a pair of events in Nashville.
The 10th overall pick out of Alabama will be the official starter for the 5th annual Shoney’s 5k Family Fun Run & Walk that benefits the Nashville Police Support Fund.
He will greet families and event participants at LP Field’s Lot T prior to the event that is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Registration is set to open at 7 a.m.
All proceeds will be matched dollar for dollar by Shoney’s CEO David Davoudpour and will benefit the Nashville Police Support Fund, a component of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The fund is designed to assist officers with specialized training and attaining higher education degrees.
All Middle Tennesseans are invited to take part in the Fun Run & Walk as well as a family-friendly festival. Attendees also will be able to have close-up looks at a police helicopter, SWAT armored vehicle, Bomb Squad robot, explosive-sniffing dog, police cruiser, mobile crime lab, police motorcycles and bicycles. There will also be a number of activities for children, including an appearance by Shoney Bear.
Warmack is also scheduled to be one of several guest speakers on Saturday at the Music City Sports Festival. He’s scheduled to follow Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart and former Atlanta Braves slugger Chipper Jones during the series of speakers. The sports festival will be held inside the shimmering new Music City Center.
