Cook Hosts Second "Dine-in and Donate"

Posted Oct 15, 2012

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Titans tight end Jared Cook continued his efforts to fight breast cancer by hosting a second “Dine-in and Donate” on Tuesday at Chick-fil-A restaurant in Brentwood.

Once again, Jared autographed miniature footballs for a $5 donation, with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Greater Nashville.

Additionally, 15 percent of in-restaurant purchases, during the noon to 3 p.m. time period, will be donated to "Sleep In for the Cure" fundraising effort that accompanies the Race for the Cure that will be held in Nashville on Oct. 27. Susan G. Komen representatives will be available during the event to help interested attendees register for the annual Race for the Cure®, which will be held in Maryland Farms.

Since 1982, Komen has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer – transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors

Jared’s mother, Yulinda Cook, is a breast cancer survivor, and Jared has now dedicated himself to working with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. You can help Jared support Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure through his “Sleep In for the Cure” team. It is a way for people to show support if they are not able to attend the race and is available by clicking here
