NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans helped kick off the start off football season with Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola and Kroger by hosting a “Football Tailgating” luncheon at LP Field Thursday afternoon.

More than 100 people on the Kroger Management Staff from across Tennessee attended, receiving information about creative in-store promotions for the upcoming season.

Kroger leadership welcomed the group, and introduced all of the “Football” themed programs that Kroger consumers will see in the stores this season.

"Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith spoke about the Titans’ upcoming season and the team’s new synergy on-field.

“We are all excited that another Titans season is upon us,” said Melissa Eads, marketing and public relations manager for Kroger. “We are proud to be the official grocery store and tailgate headquarters of the Tennessee Titans and are working to make sure we have everything our customers will need for a great tailgate or at home watch party!”

“It is a pleasure to represent Anheuser-Busch products and work with such great people from Kroger and the Titans.” said Randy Burnett, chain account manager with Ajax-Turner. “We are proud to be part of the “team,” bringing consumers added value with our Titans program each year. You will definitely experience the feel of “Football” when you shop at your local Kroger store.”

“Our annual football promotion which teams up Coca-Cola, Kroger, and the Titans is best in class,” said Sherry Hedrick, director of customer development for Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated. “Through our partnership, we’re able to bring excitement, incentives, and aggressive pricing to the Kroger shoppers and the Titans fans. It’s so rewarding to represent a world-wide brand but bring a local program to the people who mean the most to our business, the Coca-Cola consumers.”

Coca-Cola and Budweiser are bringing Titans excitement to your local Kroger grocery store. Be sure to visit the Coca-Cola and Budweiser Titans football display in Kroger to find out how to win an incredible Titans Fan experience.

• Coca-Cola is sponsoring the “Coca-Cola Zero Titans Kick-off Kid.”  This promotion offers a local child an on-field, pre-game experience at a Titans home game by actually retrieving the kicking tee from the opening kickoff.

• Budweiser is sponsoring a Text-to-Win sweepstakes to Win 2015 Titans Season tickets!

Both the Coca-Cola and Budweiser promotions are exclusive to Kroger shoppers.

“We are certainly thrilled to host an event here at LP Field with some of our marquis partners as we get ready to start this season,” said Ralph Ockenfels, Titans vice-president of marketing. “In addition, it’s very exciting to have a chance to see the branding and activation they have planned for the upcoming year for Titans fans throughout the region.”

Titans mascot, T-Rac entertained the guests while they participated in fun activities, and the afternoon concluded with a tour of the Titans locker room where Titans cheerleaders, Evony and Kiara greeted them, signed autographs and posed for pictures.

Annual events like this one help to bring partners together with the greater Nashville area.

The Titans will host their first preseason game at LP Field against the Green Bay Packers this Saturday evening, kickoff at 7 p.m.
