Titans School Visits

“The Tennessee Titans ‘tradition of caring’ is directly related to our commitment to assist educators at area schools achieve their goal of preparing today’s youth for a successful journey through life. We as an organization will continue our effort to play a vital role in developing our most precious resources – our children.”
– K.S. “Bud” Adams, Jr.

The Tennessee Titans have had a long standing relationship with Metro Nashville Schools and visit thousands of area youth each season.  For many area students, the chance to meet some of their gridiron heroes during the school week is something both unexpected and a day they never forget.

The Titans make a significant impact in the local community through their "Titans Tuesdays" program where each Tuesday during the season, students from a Nashville area school are treated to a surprise assembly featuring a Titans player.

Players take time out of their busy schedules to share some of their experiences of growing up, give advice to children, and stress the importance of eat healthy & exercise. The middle schools that receive a visit during the season are selected through Metro Schools, the American Heart Association and National Dairy Council during the summer months.

In addition, as part of the assembly, Titans players discuss the importance of the NFL's Play 60 program in conjunction with the American Heart Association. The Play 60 program encourages students to eat healthy and get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day in an effort to fight childhood obesity.  Another underlying theme throughout the program is the importance of students staying in school and giving it their all in the classroom.

In addition to visiting area middle schools, Titans Tuesdays also consist of visits to local hospitals during the season. The Titans have supported the Nashville Metro school system in a variety of ways since the team arrived in 1997.  Owner Bud Adams and Titans players have donated more than $1,000,000 in grants and goods/services to Metro Schools since 1997
