Rookie RB Chris Johnson combined for 70 yards and scored on a 1-yard run in Tennessee's
preseason finale.
Vince Young led the Titans on a pair of first-half scoring drives, throwing for
134 yards and running for another 57 on the ground, and the Titans held off the
Green Bay Packers 23-21 at Lambeau Field to finish 3-1 in the preseason. Young
completed 13-of-27 passes, including a 50-yard strike to Justin McCareins in the
first quarter as the Titans built a 16-7 halftime lead. LenDale White added 55
rushing yards for the Titans, who took their first lead, 13-7, on Vincent Fuller’s
40-yard touchdown run off a fake punt in the second quarter. Rookie running back
Chris Johnson combined for 70 yards (24 rushing, 46 receiving) and scored on a
1-yard run to extend Tennessee’s lead to 23-7 in the third quarter. McCareins
led Titans receivers with three catches for 79 yards. The Titans open the regular
season at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Sept. 7.
