NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans supported Saint Thomas Foundation’s largest supporters during their Good Health Classic Breakfast held at Saint Thomas West Hospital. The breakfast is a kickoff event for the annual Good Health Classic Golf Tournament scheduled Monday, October 16 at the Golf Club of Tennessee.

The mission of Saint Thomas Health Foundations advance the caring ministry and medical excellence of Saint Thomas Health by raising funds to ensure everyone in our community has access to the highest quality of care.

The proceeds from the golf tournament are secured as funding for specific initiatives that advance their mission and include capital needs of the network Family Health Clinics, expansion of the Dispensary of Hope and Support for the poor and vulnerable through community health outreach, such as the Medical Missions at Home. This directly impacts the lives of many Middle Tennesseans receiving the holistic reverent care provided by Saint Thomas Health – whether that is through assistance with prescription medication or medical devices required after a hospital stay.

“The Saint Thomas Health Foundation is proud to have a long-standing relationship with the Tennessee Titans, and we’re grateful for their support of The Good Health Classic Golf Tournament,” said Dan Thompson, Executive Director of Saint Thomas Health Foundation. “It’s partnerships like these that ensure Saint Thomas Health’s ability to engage and serve Middle Tennesseans for generations to come.”

Karen Springer, Tennessee Ministry Market Executive and President/CEO of Saint Thomas Health, Senior Vice President, Ascension Health thanked the group for their generous support, and valued partnership over the years that ensure the strength of the Saint Thomas Health mission.

‘Voice of the Titans’, Mike Keith spoke about the Titans upcoming season and thanked them for their long-term relationship and support. Keith has been named as Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year 11 times since 2000, has won over 20 Associated Press state awards and has captured two national honors, including the industry’s most prestigious award: the Edward R. Murrow Award for nationwide excellence in sports reporting. Keith was quickly recognized as one of the NFL’s most exciting announcers. In January of 2000, Keith called one of the greatest plays in NFL history, “The Music City Miracle,” a last-second touchdown that gave the Titans an improbable playoff win over Buffalo. ESPN named Keith’s description of the play as one of the 10 best radio calls in American sports history.

With the support of the golf tournaments sponsors and volunteers, The Saint Thomas Health Foundation can truly make a difference in the overall health of our community.

The Saint Thomas Health Foundation events offer’s their partners a high-profile and high-impact vehicle to publicize their brand while providing spiritual, compassionate, and holistic care to the community.
