NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Titans quarterback
Locker suffered hip and knee sprains on Sept. 29 early in the third quarter against the New York Jets. He missed the past two games, but progressed quickly, working himself into the conversation and then into the lineup this week.
The Titans went 3-1 in four starts by Locker, who went 69-of-111 passing for 721 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions for a passer rating of 99.0.
Locker was cleared for contact early this week and was limited in practice Wednesday. Coaches added to his workload and tested his mobility on Thursday to see how he’d respond, and the third-year pro and second-year starter and captain responded by practicing fully.
Tennessee (3-3) is trying to snap a two-game losing streak against San Francisco (4-2), which has won three in a row.
