NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Titans safety
The event will benefit Michael Griffin’s Sacks 4 Kids program, which provides bags of healthy foods and snacks to disadvantaged kids in Metro High Schools to take home on the weekends. These bags are given discreetly to kids who come from dire home circumstances that prevent them from having access to nutritious meals at home.
The program is operated in conjunction with “Packed With Love,” a local non-profit organization. Last year, the Sacks 4 Kids program provided more than $16,000 in funding for Packed With Love.
The event, titled “Tennessee’s Kickoff Dinner,” will give attendees the opportunity to mix and mingle with their favorite Titans players while watching the NFL’s debut game of the 2013 season between the Ravens and Broncos. The event will also feature a live and silent auction filled with unique memorabilia and experiences.
“I am very excited to host this event,” said Griffin, who is a two-time Pro Bowler entering his seventh season with the Titans. “It will be a fun night, and we hope to raise a lot of money for the Sacks 4 Kids program. Being an athlete, I know how important nutrition is to having the energy to do my job. I am determined to help those kids here in Nashville who are going hungry get the nutrition they need.”
Tickets to the event are $100 and are available at the door. They include food and beverages. To reserve tickets, call 615-535-3140.
