The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with K Ryan Succop
on a contract and waived K Travis Coons.
Succop (6-2, 218) has five years of NFL experience, all with Kansas City, after entering the league as the last pick of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Chiefs. For his career, he has posted four 100-point seasons, made 81.0% (119-147) of his field goal attempts and over the last three years, 52% of his kickoffs have resulted in touchbacks, a number that ranks 11th in the NFL during the span. Last season, he tallied career highs for points (118) and touchbacks (47). Last season, he also posted the second-best percentage of his career for field goals made inside of 50 yards, connecting on 87.5% (21-24) of those attempts.
During his NFL career, he has produced five game-winning kicks. A product of the University of South Carolina, Succop played in 50 games for the Gamecocks.
