Titans Place C Rob Turner on IR, Sign OL Pat McQuistan

Posted Oct 30, 2013

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans signed veteran OL Pat McQuistan and placed C Rob Turner on injured reserve (shoulder).

The Titans placed Rob Turner on injured reserve (shoulder).

Turner made six starts for the Titans this season after joining Tennessee as a free agent and playing 16 games last season in St. Louis.

Additionally, the Titans added G Oscar Johnson and DL Chigbo Anunoby to the practice squad. The Titans waived WR Rashad Ross from the practice squad, and DT Stefan Charles left after he was signed to the Buffalo Bills 53-man roster.

McQuistan (6-6, 317) has played in 72 NFL games with 11 starts during seven seasons. He was originally drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft from Weber State. He spent four seasons in Dallas before playing one year in Miami, another season in New Orleans and six games for Arizona last year. During his career, he has logged time as both a tackle and guard.

Oscar Johnson (6-6, 338) signed as an undrafted free agent with the Titans last May and was waived following training camp. He was a two-year starter at Louisiana Tech.

Anunoby (6-4, 324, name is pronounced ch-BOO Ann-u-noby) entered the NFL as a undrafted free agent for the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. Last year, he split the season between the Colts and Washington Redskins practice squads. This season he was waived from the Redskins following training camp. He played his college football at Morehouse College where he played in 21 games over two seasons and totaled 93 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.
