NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans promoted Blake Beddingfield to the director of college scouting. In his new role, Beddingfield will direct all college scouting for the team.
“I am happy for our organization and happy for Blake that we were able to get this done,” said Titans general manager Ruston Webster. “He has earned this new role, as he has been a key piece of our scouting puzzle for a number of years. He has a good relationship with our scouts and he understands the type of players that we are seeking to build a championship team.”
Beddingfield is in his 14th season with the Titans. For the last five seasons, he served as the Scouting Coordinator and was responsible for coordinating the college scouting staff, running draft meetings and evaluating draft-eligible prospects. Prior to his role as Scouting Coordinator, Beddingfield spent six seasons as an area scout along with other duties. He originally joined the team in 1999 as a scouting assistant.
“I want to thank Mr. Adams, Ruston Webster and Mike Reinfeldt for this opportunity,” said Beddingfield. “I am excited about this new role and the ability to continue to work with an experienced and accomplished group of scouts. The transition will be an easy one since I have worked alongside most of the scouts for many years. The Titans have always put a strong emphasis on the draft as a way to build the organization, so I understand the import role that we play in that process.”
