Titans to Host Season Ticket Holders at Special Events with Webster, Munchak

Posted Apr 23, 2013

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans are showing their gratitude to season ticket holders by inviting them to special events with general manager Ruston Webster, coach Mike Munchak and assistant coaches in the coming weeks.

The Titans will thank season ticket holders by hosting them for "All Access" events with coach Mike Munchak, general manager Ruston Webster and assistant coaches in the coming weeks.

The “All Access with Webster/Munchak/Titans assistant coaches” events are scheduled as outreach opportunities in Franklin, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro, Clarksville and Lebanon and will include discussions led by “Voice of the Titans” Mike Keith. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive a complimentary meal at each session.

Titans Executive Vice President of Administration and Facilities Don MacLachlan said the “All Access” events are a way to maintain year-round relationships with the fans.

“They mean a lot to us,” MacLachlan said. “We’ve been fortunate that we’ve sold out 144 straight games, so the relationship we have with our season ticket holders is important. We certainly appreciate them. We couldn’t do it without them, and we realize it and we’re going to continue to try to do more each and every year to show them how much we do appreciate their loyal and long-term support.”

This offseason, the Titans have enjoyed the opportunity to host season ticket holders at behind-the-scenes tours of LP Field. By the end of this week, more than 7,000 season ticket holders will have visited the locker room, press box, press conference room, the control room for the video boards and the playing surface of the Titans’ game-day home.

The first “All Access” day is scheduled for April 29, less than 48 hours after this year’s NFL Draft (April 25-27) concludes. Webster will have a breakfast event in Franklin and a dinner event in Murfreesboro, and Munchak will have a lunch event in Hendersonville. Titans assistant coaches are scheduled to attend a dinner event in Clarksville on April 30 and a dinner event in Lebanon on May 6.

“It’s an unbelievably unique opportunity to hear from Ruston when he was just making picks less than 48 hours before,” MacLachlan said.

Keith agreed, saying fans will learn inside information about the Titans’ decision-making process during Webster’s second draft as Titans general manager.

“We are going to get background stories from the ‘Draft Room’ less than 48 hours after the draft is over,” Keith said. “We’ll hear exactly why the Titans selected the players that they did. If you follow the draft like crazy like I do, you are going to love this insight.”

MacLachlan said the Titans wanted to set up the appearances in the outlying cities to reach out to season ticket holders who may not have been able to attend a tour of LP Field. MacLachlan said the willingness of Webster and Titans coaches to open their schedules for these events shows that they sincerely value the support from the fans.

“Ruston Webster has been a big hit at all of our tours that he’s been able to attend,” MacLachlan said. “He’s been out at a lot of pro scout days, of course, but when he’s been able to fit it in his schedule he’s been extremely popular with our season ticket holders.

“I know that, with him taking time out of his busy and valuable schedule on the Monday after the draft concludes, his commitment to our season ticket holders and to the support that we’ve received throughout the years is strong,” MacLachlan added. “He certainly understands how critical that is with the game-day environment we have at LP Field and trying to recreate that great home-field advantage. It’s an unbelievably unique opportunity to hear from Ruston when he was just making picks less than 48 hours before.”
