DeMarco Murray up for Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer Honors

Titans RB DeMarco Murray is a candidate for the Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week for Week 3.

Quarterback Jared Goff (Rams), wide receiver Brandin Cooks (Patriots), kicker Jake Elliott (Eagles), and running backs DeMarco Murray (Titans) and Jordan Howard (Bears) are the nominees for Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week for Week 3, the NFL announced today. The Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week is the best performer or performance of the week that represents strength in key moments

Murray rushed for a 75-yard touchdown in the third quarter of Tennessee's 33-27 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The run tied for his second-longest career run behind only a 91-yarder as a member of the Dallas Cowboys against the St. Louis Rams on Oct. 23, 2011. He also had a 75-yard touchdown run with the Titans against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 13, 2016. Murray’s 75-yard run against the Seahawks was the longest rushing attempt against the Seahawks since Sept. 20, 2009. .Murray finished the game with 14 carries for 115 yards. It was his 27th career 100-yard rushing game (including one playoff game) and his sixth with the Titans.

Fans may vote for one of these five performers on www.nfl.com/castrol-edge through Friday at 3 PM ET to determine the CASTROL EDGE CLUTCH PERFORMER OF THE WEEK. The winner will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and then posted on NFL.com.
