The winner of the 2016 CASTROL EDGE CLUTCH PERFORMER OF THE YEAR will be announced at the "6th Annual NFL Honors" awards show in San Francisco, a two-hour primetime special to air nationally on February 4 on FOX the night before Super Bowl LI.

The five finalists were selected among 17 of the most memorable Castrol EDGE Clutch Performers during the 2016 NFL season. Each week the NFL selected five nominees for the performers of the week in which the fans voted for the winner on NFL.com/Castrol-EDGE.

"Castrol® EDGE® is known for its strength under severe pressure, maximizing your car's performance," said Rich Pond, Castrol's vice president of marketing, Americas region. "These five finalists for the Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the year have proven their strength under pressure to lead their teams to thrilling victories. They are five individuals who have helped make this another exciting NFL season."

A closer look at the nominees:

Week 2 – Marcus Mariota’s game-winning touchdown with 1:19 left in the game:
Mariota’s red zone efficiency is among the best in the league. His natural talent for putting together game-winning drives was on display all season, including a big win on the road against Detroit in Week 2. In that game, he threw the go-ahead touchdown to Andre Johnson on fourth down with just 1:19 left in the game.

Week 12 – Derek Carr’s late game drives leading to a Raiders win:
Carr set the tone early for the Oakland Raiders season, showing tremendous poise in the pocket and leading several late-game comebacks. This includes Week 12, where Carr led late-game drives to tie the Carolina Panthers and later win.

Week 13 – Khalil Mack’s strip-sack and fumble recovery in a Raiders win:
Carr isn’t the only Raider with late-game heroics. Khalil Mack was a beast for the Oakland Raiders’ defense. This season, Mack had an eight-consecutive games with at least one sack. In Week 13, he helped seal a win against the Buffalo Bills with a strip-sack and fumble recovering. It was the second week in row accomplishing that task.

Week 16 – Antonio Brown’s game-winning touchdown wins the division:
To say Antonio Brown is a crucial piece to the Pittsburgh Steelers offense is a drastic understatement. Brown managed his fourth-consecutive season with more than 100 receptions and at least 1,200 yards. In Week 16, Brown caught a short pass in the final seconds of the game against the Baltimore Ravens. Down 27-24, Brown breaks a tackle and fights passed two Ravens defenders to stretch out just enough to break the goal line. This not only won the game, but gave the Steelers the AFC North, clinching a playoff berth.

Week 17 – Mike Evans’ late touchdown catch in a Buccaneers win:
Few Bucs players were as crucial to their success as Mike Evans. Evans’ receptions and yards increase each season and he added another 12 touchdowns to his resume. He made some outstanding catches this season, including a late fourth quarter TD that was ultimately the game-winner.
