NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Titans have agreed to terms with defensive lineman Karl Klug, a dependable veteran who has been a consistent performer with the team.

The team has also agreed to terms with linebacker Nate Palmer, a key contributor on special teams in 2016.

Klug initially joined the Titans as a fifth round draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Since, Klug has been popular with coaches, teammates and fans for his no-nonsense approach, and rugged style of play.

Klug played in 14 games last season, and finished with 25 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on December 18 at Kansas City, and had surgery.

Coach Mike Mularkey said recently Klug is recovering well.

In six NFL seasons, Klug has played in 94 games and recorded 152 tackles and 20 sacks.

Palmer, claimed off waivers by the Titans from the Packers last offseason, played in 14 games last season and led the team with 12 tackles on special teams. He also had two tackles on defense, including a tackle for a loss.

Palmer spent his first three NFL seasons with the Packers, where he played in 38 games, and recorded 100 tackles from 2013-15. He played in all 16 games in Green Bay in 2015, and recorded 80 tackles.
