Biography

 
PRO: The Titans selected Aaron Wallace in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft, viewing the 6-foot-2-inch, 242-pound defender as a player with tremendous upside.  During Wallace’s career at UCLA, he waited patiently for an opportunity to play regularly during his first three seasons and then became a mainstay for the Bruins as a senior.  He led the team with seven sacks in his final year on campus.  He is a versatile player, capable of lining up at multiple linebacker spots.    

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:  
•    In 2015, his seven sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss led UCLA as a senior.  He played in all 13 games and recorded eight starts.

TITANS TIDBITS:  
•    Wallace is one-quarter Chinese on his mother’s side of the family. One of his “bucket list” items is to walk on the Great Wall of China.
•    His father, Aaron Wallace Sr., was a three-time All-Southwest Conference selection at linebacker for Texas A&M (1986-89) and was selected in the second round of the 1990 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders.  Aaron Sr. went on to play eight seasons in the NFL, collecting 21 sacks in 102 career games.
•    His mother, Sandra Broussard, is on the board of a foundation in San Diego called the Berry Good Food Foundation, which promotes nutritional education and organic food.
•    He aspires to be a strength and conditioning coach following his playing career.  

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
•    The San Diego, Calif., native was selected by the Titans in the seventh round (222nd overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
•    During a four-year career at UCLA, he played in 49 games and recorded 12 starts.  His career totals included 92 tackles, seven sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss and one pass defensed.  

AS A SENIOR (2015), played 13 games for the third consecutive season and set a career high with eight starts.  Led the team with 12.5 tackles for loss (ninth in the Pac-12) and seven sacks (tied for fourth in the conference).  Ranked sixth on the team with 65 tackles, posting at least five tackles in seven contests.  Posted at least 0.5 tackles for loss in each of the last seven games of the season.  Earned All-Conference honorable mention from the league’s coaches.  
•    Against California (10/22), registered a career-high 2.5 sacks in a win over the 19th-ranked team in the country.
•    At Utah (11/21), credited with nine stops, including a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss.
•    At USC (11/28), recorded a career-high 11 tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss.  

AS A JUNIOR (2014), appeared in all 13 games with one start.  Recorded 19 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss.
•    At Virginia (8/30), totaled three stops in the season opener.
•    Against Stanford (11/28), recorded a season-high five tackles.  
•    Against Memphis (9/6), recorded his lone start of the season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013), appeared in 13 games and recorded three starts.  Totaled five tackles.
•    Against Nevada (8/31), had a season-high two stops.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2012), saw action in 10 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams.  Recorded three tackles on the season and forced one fumble.
•    Against Stanford (11/24), forced a fumble.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011), redshirted.
•    Graduated in December 2015 with a degree in sociology.

•    Missed his entire senior high school season due to an ankle injury.
