PRO: Alvin Pearman is a versatile running back that has experience returning both kickoffs and punts on special teams. The former fourth-round pick has excellent hands and is a passing-catching threat out of the backfield. He will compete for the Titans’ returner job, as well as provide depth at running back in 2010.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• As a rookie in 2005, saw action in all 16 games for the Jaguars and finished third on the team with 39 carries for 149 rushing yards and a touchdown. Also ranked fifth on the team with 32 receptions for 240 yards and set the Jaguars then single-season record with 49 punt returns for 410 yards (8.4 avg.).

• Pearman traveled to Africa in the 2007 offseason with other NFL players to conduct football clinics on behalf of Athletes in Action.
• Spearheaded an effort to raise money for sporting equipment and clothes for children in the Manica Program in Mozambique, raising $24,000 from teammates and other NFL players.

• After two seasons with the Jaguars (2005-2006) was traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2008 sixth-round draft choice on Sept. 1, 2007.
• Appeared in three games for Seattle during the 2007 season before being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 2, 2007.
• Re-signed with the Jaguars as a veteran free agent on Dec. 11, 2008 and appeared in one contest.
• Spent 2009 training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being released on Sept. 6, 2009.
• Signed by the Titans as a free agent on Oct. 30, 2009.
COLLEGE:
• Led team in rushing as a senior with a career-high 1,037 yards and led the ACC with 1,938 all-purpose yards, the fourth-highest total in ACC history and second in team history.
• Set school record for a running back with 138 career receptions for 1,396 yards.
• As a junior, was the only player ranked in the top 10 in the ACC in rushing and receiving, finishing with 1,037 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns and 29 receptions for 402 yards.
• Graduated with a degree in sports medicine from Virginia.
