PRO: The Titans selected Angelo Blackson in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.  The 6-foot-4-inch, 318-pounder is a good athlete that displays the power and quickness to get upfield and disrupt the passer.  The Auburn product also plays with strength at the point of attack and is able to withstand and occupy double teams against the run.  Blackson competes for playing time on the defensive front with the Titans.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
•     As a rookie in 2015, Blackson played in all 16 games and registered 2.5 sacks.
•     Blackson notched 4.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss and 13 quarterback hurries during his four-year career at Auburn.  He also excelled on special teams and posted four blocked kicks during his career with the Tigers.

•    Blackson’s legal guardian is his sister, Dalila Newman.  She raised Angelo since he was six years old and he says he learned everything from her.
•    Blackson was on the field for the famous “Kick 6” play during the Auburn and Alabama game in 2013.  Blackson lined up on the defensive front to attempt to block the field goal and served as a blocker on the game-winning missed field goal return for a touchdown.

•    The Wilmington, Del., native was selected by the Titans in the fourth round (100th overall) the 2015 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
•    Was a four-year letterman at Auburn.  Played in 52 career games with 18 starts and totaled 65 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and two passes defensed.
•    As a senior (2014), played in 13 games with four starts and recorded 17 tackles, three sacks, 5.5 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries.
•    As a junior (2013), appeared in 14 games with four starts and amassed 16 tackles, a half sack, three tackles for loss, six quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.
•    As a sophomore (2012), saw action in 12 games with 10 starts and notched 26 tackles, a sack, seven tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and two passes defensed.
•    As a freshman (2011), recorded six tackles, including 1.5 for loss while playing in all 13 games as a true freshman along the defensive line.
•    Graduated with a sociology degree from Auburn in December 2014.

•    Single and splits time between Nashville and Wilmington, Del.
•     Attended Red Lion Christian Academy (Bear, Del.) where he played defensive line, linebacker and offensive line.
•     Was listed as the nation’s No. 14 defensive tackle by ESPN.com/Scouts Inc.  Rated as the No. 24 defensive tackle in the nation and the No. 2 recruit
in Delaware.
•     Was a PrepStar All-East Region team and selected to play in the National Underclassmen Combine All-World Gridiron Classic following his senior season.
•     During his senior campaign, had 40 tackles including three sacks, three forced fumbles, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery in just seven games.
•     As a junior, collected 56 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and seven sacks.  Also served as the team’s punter, booming 40 punts for a 36.1-yard average with a long of 52 yards.
•     Also played on the Red Lion basketball team.
