PRO: The Titans signed Brandon Weeden on Oct. 4, 2017 to provide veteran insurance after starter Marcus Mariota suffered an injury at Houston (10/1/17).  Weeden spent five previous NFL seasons with Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.  His career totals prior to arriving in Tennessee included 6,462 passing yards, 31 touchdown passes, 30 interceptions and a passer rating of 76.0.  A former 2012 first-round pick, Weeden started 25 career NFL games in his first five NFL seasons.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
•     In 2015, appeared in four games with three starts for the Dallas Cowboys and completed 71 of 98 passes for 738 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.  Later that season, played in two games with one start for the Houston Texans and connected on 26 of 42 passes for 305 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.  
•     Played in five games with one start for the Cowboys in 2014 and completed 24 of 41 passes for 303 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.
•    As a rookie with the Cleveland Browns in 2012, started 15 games and threw for 3,385 yards, a Browns rookie record, and 14 touchdowns.

•    Weeden was a star pitcher in high school and was the first player chosen by the New York Yankees (second round, 71st overall) in the 2002 MLB Draft.  He was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers after the 2003 season and then selected in the Rule 5 Draft by the Kansas City Royals.  He played his last season of professional baseball in 2006 with the Class-A High Desert Mavericks of the California League.

•     As a senior, finished second in the nation with a school single-season record 4,727 passing yards, while completing 409 of 565 passes and throwing for a single-season record 37 touchdowns.
•     Broke school records in total attempts, completions, yardage, and touchdowns and established a school record with 502 yards passing against Kansas State.
•     As a junior, completed 342 of 511 passes for 4,277 yards with 34 touchdowns.
•     Appeared in three games as a sophomore, completing 15 of 24 passes for 248 yards with four touchdowns.
