Biography

PRO: D’Joun Smith was signed to the Titans’ active roster from their practice squad late in the 2016 season to provide depth in the secondary.  The 5-foot-11-inch, 193-pounder was originally a 2015 third-round draft choice of the Indianapolis Colts and spent parts of his rookie campaign on the Colts 53-man roster.  He was released by the club following his second training camp before spending a month and a half on the Detroit Lions’ practice squad.  Smith joined the Titans’ practice squad in late November and adds youth and athleticism to an already-competitive defensive back unit.  He will also compete for playing time on special teams coverage units.
