Biography

PRO: Dominique Edison won a roster spot in 2009 after an impressive showing in his first preseason.  The rangy speedster exited Stephen F. Austin as one of the most productive wideouts in college football, hauling in
182 career receptions for 2,697 yards and 28 touchdowns.  In 2009 pre-draft workouts, the 6-foot-2 receiver was timed in the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds.

TITANS TIDBITS: 
• A four-sport athlete in high school, Edison won the Texas 2A title in 2004 in the 200-meter dash.
• Edison spent a large amount of his time during college working at the Boys & Girls Club of Nacogdoches.
• Edison says his most memorable college football moment occurred during his sophomore campaign, when he helped Stephen F. Austin defeat Northwestern State to capture the Chief Caddo Trophy, considered the largest trophy in all of sports. 
• Edison became the 25th all-time Lumberjack to be drafted in the NFL and the first since 2002, joining the likes of kicker Mark Moseley, running back Larry Centers and linebacker Jeremiah Trotter.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS: 
• The San Augustine, Texas, native was selected by the Titans in the sixth round (206th overall) in the 2009 NFL Draft.
• Waived on Oct. 15, 2009 and signed to the practice squad the next day. 
• Re-signed to the Titans’ 53-man roster on Nov. 14, 2009.

COLLEGE:
• In 44 career games (32 starts) at Stephen F. Austin, including seven 100-yard performances, he totaled 182 receptions for 2,697 yards and 28 touchdowns.  He finished his career ranked first in school history in receptions and second in touchdown receptions and receiving yards.   In Southland Conference history, he ranked second in career receptions and second in touchdown receptions. 
• As a senior (2008), started all 12 games and set school record with 67 receptions.  Yardage total of 1,016 yards marked fourth 1,000-yard season by receiver in school history.  Averaged 15.2 yards per reception and 84.7 yards per game (fourth in conference). Recorded four 100-yard receiving games.  Posted 18 touchdown receptions, setting school and conference records and finishing second in nation.  Had two games with three touchdowns and six games with two touchdowns.  Earned first-team All-Southland Conference honors and was named third-team All-American by Sports Network.
• As a junior (2007), played in 11 games with 10 starts and led team with 55 receptions for 582 yards.  Contributed one touchdown reception.  Finished second in SLC in receptions per game (5.0), and sixth in league in receiving yards per game (52.9).
• As a sophomore (2006), played and started in 10 games and was honorable mention All-SLC selection. Caught 30 passes for 543 yards and five touchdowns, finishing second in SLC with 54.3 yards per game. 
• As a freshman (2005), played in 11 games and caught 30 passes for 556 yards and four touchdowns.  Finished ninth in SLC averaging 50.5 yards per game.
• Redshirted in 2004.
• Majored in kinesiology.

PERSONAL: 
• Single, splits time between Nashville and San Augustine, Texas.
• At San Augustine (Texas) High School, recorded 90 catches for 1,916 yards and 17 touchdowns during career and helped Wolves to 2003 State 2A Championship.
• Four-sport star also was All-District centerfielder, District MVP in basketball and won 200-meter state track title. 
• Was vice president of high school class as junior.
