Biography

PRO: Jamar Love was a late-season addition to the Titans in 2009 and will contribute to the team’s secondary depth in 2010.  In his rookie season, he also spent time with the New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 

CAREER TRANSACTIONS: 
• The North Little Rock, Ark., native was originally signed by the New England Patriots as a rookie free agent on April 30, 2009.
• Released by the Patriots on July 29, 2009 but re-signed on Aug. 2, 2009.
• Released by the Patriots on Sept. 5, 2009.
• Signed to Dallas Cowboys practice squad on Nov. 9, 2009 and released Nov. 30, 2009.
• Signed to Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad on Dec. 2, 2009.
• Signed by the Titans off Tampa Bay’s practice squad on Dec. 30, 2009.

COLLEGE:
• As a senior (2008), played in nine games with six starts and finished with a career-high 39 tackles and eight passes defensed.
• As a junior (2007), saw action in all 13 games and made two starts.  Tallied 22 tackles, three sacks and four passes defensed.
• As a sophomore (2006), played in all 14 games and made one start.  Made 16 tackles along with six special teams tackles and added three passes defensed.
• As a freshman (2005), played in six games and saw action on special teams.
• Majored in sociology.

PERSONAL: 
• As a senior at North Little Rock (Ark.) High School, recorded 55 tackles, seven passes defensed, two tackles for loss and three forced fumbles on defense.  Also had 45 rushing attempts for 465 yards and two touchdowns  and five receptions for 230 yards and three touchdowns.  Member of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All-Metro team as a senior.
• Also competed in track and field during his prep career (100-meter dash, 200, 4x100 relay) with a best time of 10.6 in the 100-meter dash.
• Enjoys golfing, go karts and listening to a wide variety of music.
• Favorite television programming is Lifetime Channel dramas.
• Born Jamar Antonio Love on Nov. 8, 1986 in North Little Rock, Ark.
