PRO: At the start of the 2017 NFL free agency period, the Titans targeted veteran leadership in the secondary and signed safety Johnathan Cyprien, bringing the four-year veteran to Nashville.  The 6-foot, 223-pounder was originally drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.  The Florida International product arrived in Tennessee coming off arguably the best season of his career when he led all NFL safeties with 126 tackles.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
•    In 2016, Cyprien led all NFL safeties and finished second on the Jaguars with 126 tackles.
•     As a rookie in 2013, Cyprien finished second on the team with 98 tackles, while posting two forced fumbles, an interception, a sack and six passes defensed.

TITANS TIDBITS:
•     In 2015, Cyprien started the CypSquad ARY Foundation which benefits different programs for at-risk youth in the South Florida area.

•     The North Miami Beach, Fla., native was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
•     Signed by the Titans as an unrestricted free agent on March 10, 2017.

COLLEGE:
•     Appeared in 50 career games, starting the final 45 contests at Florida International and totaled a school-record 365 tackles, 22 passes defensed, 13.5 tackles for a loss, seven interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), a school-record six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one sack.
•     His 213 solo tackles ranked fifth overall (second among defensive backs) among active NCAA FBS players.
•     As a senior (2012), named a team captain and selected to the All-Sun Belt Conference first team.  Widely-regarded as the top safety to ever play at FIU, he once again led the team with 93 tackles, including school-highs in solo stops (54) and assisted tackles (39).  Also recorded a team-high four interceptions, along with five pass breakups, 3.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.  Started all 12 games, as well as every game the past three seasons (2010-12), and has started the most career games at safety at FIU (45), which is the third-most amount of starts at any position for a Panther.
•     As a junior (2011), selected All-Sun Belt Conference second team after recording 81 tackles (third-highest on the team), to go along with 5.5 tackles for loss and a team-high eight passes defensed.  The tackle total was good for 18th in the Sun Belt and the eight pass break-ups tied for third all-time in a season in program history.
•     As a sophomore (2010), named All-Sun Belt Conference second team after leading the team with 113 tackles, the fourth-best single-season total in FIU history.
