Biography

PRO: The Titans added K.J. Maye to the team’s practice squad in the final week of the 2016 campaign to add depth and competition to the wide receiver rotation. The Minnesota product was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in May 2016.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
•    The Mobile, Ala., native was signed by the Giants as a rookie free agent on May 5, 2016.
•    Released by the Giants on Aug. 30, 2016.
•    Signed by the Titans to the practice squad on Dec. 28, 2016.
•    Signed by the Titans on Jan. 2, 2017.

SEASON RECAPS:  
2016 (0/0 - Tennessee):  Spent Week 17 on the Titans’ practice squad. Signed by the Giants as a rookie free agent and spent training camp at New York before being released during roster cut downs.

COLLEGE:
•    As a four-year letterman at Minnesota, played in 52 games with 20 starts for the Gophers. Totaled 107 receptions for 1,190 yards and six touchdowns, as well as 266 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 52 attempts and 19 kick returns for 317 yards.
•    As a senior (2015), started 12 of 23 games and led the team with 73 receptions for 773 yards and five touchdowns. His 73 receptions rank second all-time (most ever for a senior) in a single-season behind Eric Decker’s 84 receptions in 2008. Also rushed nine times for 46 yards and one score. Received All-Big Ten honorable mention and Minnesota Wide Receiver of the Year honors.
•    As a junior (2014), played in all 13 games with five starts. Caught 16 passes for 298 yards and one touchdown, plus 23 carries for 144 yards and a score.
•    As a sophomore (2013), made one start in 13 games played. Caught seven passes for 70 yards and rushed two times for 19 yards. Returned three kickoffs for 45 yards and one punt for 26 yards. Named Academic All-Big Ten.
•    As a freshman (2012), played in 13 games with two starts. Saw action as a wide receiver, running back and returner, totaling 11 catches for 49 yards, 17 rushes for 57 yards and eight kickoff returns for 177 yards.
•    Majored in sociology.

•    Attended Murphy (Ala.) High School, where he played primarily at quarterback with limited action at receiver and earned all-state honorable mention from the Alabama Sports Writers Association.
•    Helped lead the team to a 22-12 record in his final three seasons.
