Biography

PRO: The Titans signed free agent cornerback Kenneth Durden to the practice squad following the 2017 preseason. He originally entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Oakland Raiders following the 2016 NFL Draft, and spent his entire rookie campaign on their practice squad. A two-year contributor to Youngstown State’s defense, the 6-foot-1-inch, 180-pounder totaled 64 tackles, two interceptions and 11 passes defensed for the Penguins.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
• The Valdosta, Ga. native originally signed with the Oakland Raiders as a rookie free agent on May 10, 2016.
• Waived by the Raiders on Sept. 3, 2016.
• Signed by the Raiders to the team’s practice squad on Sept. 4, 2016.
• Signed by the Raiders to a future’s contract on Jan. 9, 2017.
• Waived by the Raiders on Sept. 2, 2017.
• Signed by the Titans to the practice squad on Sept. 5, 2017.

COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 30 games with 12 starts over four seasons at Youngstown State (2014-15) and South Florida (2012-13). Totaled 64 tackles, two interceptions, 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over his career.
• As a senior (2015), appeared in 11 games and totaled 22 tackles, one interception and five passes defensed. Also returned seven kickoffs for 97 yards.
• As a junior (2014), did not see game action.
• As a sophomore (2013), saw action in 12 games and made 11 starts. Recorded 32 tackles, one interception, five passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
• As a redshirt freshman (2012), appeared in seven games and made one start.
• Redshirted in 2011.
• Majored in general studies at Youngstown State.

PERSONAL:  
• Attended Lowndes (Ga.) High School where he posted 78 career tackles, eight interceptions, 17 passes defensed and blocked two field goal attempts. Earned all-state and all-region honors as a senior.
• Also competed in basketball and track and field. Set the school record in the triple jump as a junior with a mark of 48-6.
• Has two sisters, Kenyarda and Kenya.
