Biography

 
PRO: Quinton Spain was one of two rookie free agents to make the Titans’ 53-man roster out of training camp in 2015.  After playing sparingly at the beginning of his rookie campaign, he started the final six games at left guard.  The 6-foot-4-inch, 330-pounder has the versatility to play both guard and tackle on the pro level.  The Petersburg, Va., native was a two-time All-Big 12 selection during his tenure at West Virginia University.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:  
•    Spain started the final six games of his 2015 rookie season at left guard.  
•    Spain recorded his first NFL start 11 games into his rookie season on Nov. 29, 2015 against the Oakland Raiders.  
•    He made his professional debut against Buffalo on Oct. 11, 2015.

•    Spain hosted his first NFL Skills Camp in Nashville in June 2016.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
•    The Petersburg, Va., native was signed by the Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2015.

COLLEGE:
•    Played in 50 career games with 38 starts at West Virginia and was a two-time All-Big 12 team honoree.
•    As a senior (2014), started 12 games at left guard and was named All-Big 12 first team by ESPN.com, All-Big 12 second team by Associated Press and All-Big 12 honorable mention by the coaches.  Was used on 1,084 plays, including 1,009 offensive plays.  Helped pave the way for the offense to average 499.8 yards per game of total offense, 33.5 points per game, 182.8 rushing yards and 317.0 passing yards.
•    As a junior (2013), named All-Big 12 Conference third team by Phil Steele and All-Big 12 Conference honorable mention by the coaches.  Started all 12 games, the first four at left tackle and the final eight contests at left guard.  Was used on 791 offensive plays, the second most on the offense.
•    As a sophomore (2012), started all 13 games at left tackle.  Also saw action at guard.  Saw action in 967 of 998 offensive plays in 2012 and finished year No. 2 on the line with 57.5 knockdowns.
•    As a redshirt freshman (2011), added depth at both tackle positions.  Played in 13 games with one start and saw action on 266 plays.  Only allowed one sack the entire season.  Saw action in 30 or more plays in four games.
•    As a freshman (2010), redshirted.

PERSONAL:  
•    Has a son, Kingston Lamar Spain.
•    Attended Petersburg (Va.) High School and played in the U.S. Army All-American game.
•    As a senior, scored four touchdowns as a fullback on goal line packages.  Collected 103 tackles as a defensive tackle and forced seven fumbles and recovered five fumbles.  Also recorded 23 tackles for loss, five sacks and had seven games with 10 or more tackles.
