Biography

 
PRO: The Titans added free agent linebacker Victor Ochi during the 2017 offseason to provide depth and competition in the linebacking corps. A four-year contributor to Stony Brook’s defense, the 6-foot-1-inch, 242-pounder originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft. In addition to netting two games of NFL experience with the New York Jets, Ochi spent time on the Ravens and Jets practice squads last season as well as the Kansas City Chiefs roster during the postseason before being signed to the Titans roster in June.

•     The son of Nigerian immigrants, Ochi lived in Nigeria with his aunt from age nine-12. According to Ochi, this experience helped shape his work ethic.

•    Waived by the Ravens on Sept. 3, 2016.

Recorded 182 tackles, 50.5 tackles for a loss of 232 yards, four forced fumbles and a Stony Brook program record 32.5 sacks for 184 yards. Participated in the 2016 NFL Combine and the East-West Shrine Game, where he was elected by his peers as game captain.
•     As a senior (2015), started all 10 games for the Seawolves. Garnered 47 tackles, a CAA-leading 16.5 tackles for a loss of 68 yards, forced one fumble and posted 13 sacks, the second most in single-season school history. Ochi had four games in 2015 with at least two sacks.
•     As a junior (2014), started all 11 games and posted 57 tackles including 16.5 tackles for a loss of 74 yards. Tallied 11 sacks for 55 yards and forced two fumbles on the season. Earned first team All-CAA honors.
•     As a sophomore (2013), appeared in all 11 games and made nine starts. Notched 33 tackles, a team-leading 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and forced one fumble.
•     As a freshman (2012), played in all 13 games with five starts. Recorded 45 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and three sacks on the season.
•     As a true freshman (2011), redshirted.
•     Graduated from Stony Brook with a degree in health science.
