Biography

 
PRO: The Titans originally signed Andrew Turzilli as a rookie free agent  following the 2015 NFL Draft.  The 6-foot-4-inch, 195-pounder spent the entire offseason and all of training camp with the club before being placed on injured reserve at the end of the preseason slate.  Turzilli spent a month on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad before the Titans signed him to their active roster on Nov. 17, 2015.  The wide receiver displays great length and has an excellent catch radius with outstanding body control.  

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
•    The Butler, N.J., native was originally signed as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2015.
•    Waived by the Titans from reserve/injured with an injury settlement on Sept. 3, 2015.
•    Signed by the San Francisco 49ers to their practice squad on Oct. 13, 2015.
•    Signed by the Titans to their active roster from 49ers’ practice squad on Nov. 17, 2015.
 
COLLEGE:
•    Played his final collegiate season at Rutgers in 2014 and notched 10 catches for 347 yards and four touchdowns.  Played in 24 games in his first three seasons at Kansas and totaled 27 receptions for 491 yards with two touchdowns.
•    As a senior (2014), transferred to Rutgers in the summer and was immediately eligible to play.  Saw action in 11 games with four starts for Rutgers and finished  second on the team with 347 receiving yards, and averaged 34.7 yards per reception.  Ranked second on the team with four receiving touchdowns, with two of at least 80 yards.
•    As a junior (2013), earned Academic All-Big 12 second team honors.  Played in nine games with three starts at Kansas and amassed seven receptions for 167 yards with a touchdown.
•    As a sophomore (2012), earned Academic All-Big 12 second team honors.  Played in all 12 games with four starts at Kansas and hauled in 17 passes for 287 yards, including a pair of 40-plus yard strikes.
•    As a redshirt freshman (2011), played in three games at Kansas and tallied three catches for 37 yards and a touchdown at Georgia Tech (9/17).
•    As a freshman (2010), redshirted.
•    Graduated with a degree in American labor studies from Kansas in May 2014.

PERSONAL:  
•    Attended Butler (N.J.) High School and was named all-state first team, All-Daily Record, all-conference, all-area and all-tri-state after his senior season.
•    As a senior, hauled in 54 receptions for 953 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games.  The team finished 10-2 his senior season.
•    Named all-conference as a junior and caught 38 passes for 685 yards and seven touchdowns in just five games as a junior after transferring midway through the season.
•    Lettered three seasons as a wide receiver and defensive back and also played basketball.
•    Has three sisters.
