Biography

 
PRO: B.W. Webb joined the Titans’ practice squad at the beginning of the 2015 season to add depth in the secondary and was added to the 53-man roster later in the campaign.  The 5-foot-11-inch, 190-pounder appeared in 26 games in his first two NFL seasons.  The William & Mary product entered the league as a fourth-round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2013 and saw action in 15 games as a rookie.  He spent the 2014 campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being claimed off waivers from the Cowboys.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
•    At New Orleans on Nov. 8, 2015, Webb made his Titans debut and recorded his first career interception by picking off a Drew Brees pass.
•    As a rookie in 2013, Webb appeared in 15 games for the Cowboys and notched 12 tackles, a pass defensed and four special teams tackles.

TITANS TIDBITS:  
•    Webb has not cut his hair since his true freshman season at William & Mary in 2008.
•    In college, he served as president of the Alpha Delta Sigma chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
•    He has been a roller skating enthusiast since the age of 6.
•    Webb is such a fan of Waffle House that he even took to wearing a Waffle House arm sleeve during football practice.

COLLEGE:
•    Started a school-record 48 games over his four-year career at William & Mary and registered 151 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 11 interceptions, 30 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.  Finished with four career touchdowns (two punt returns and two interception returns).
•    As a senior (2012), started all 11 games and finished with 46 tackles, one tackle for loss, eight passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.  Was selected to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl as well as participated in the 2013 NFL Draft Combine.  Was named first-team All-
America by Phil Steele as well as second-team All-America by the Associated Press and The Sports Network.  Selected as a ECAC First Team All-Star and chosen as the CAA co-Special Teams Player of the Year.  Honored as first-team all-league as a cornerback for the third consecutive season.  Also garnered second-team all-conference honors as a punt returner.
•    As a junior (2011), started all 11 games and registered 40 tackles, three tackles for loss, two interceptions and five passes defensed.  Garnered first-team all-conference honors at cornerback for the second consecutive season.
•    As a sophomore (2010), started all 12 games and recorded 42 tackles, a half tackle for loss, one interception and six passes defensed.  Earned All-CAA first team honors as a cornerback and second-team honors as a punt returner.
•    As a redshirt freshman (2009), started all 14 games and finished with 23
tackles, three tackles for loss, eight interceptions and 11 passes defensed.  Named CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year and the ECAC Rookie of the Year.  Selected All-CAA second team as a cornerback and third team as a punt returner.  His eight interceptions tied for second-most in the nation.  His interception total was a freshman school record and tied for third on the school’s single-season record list.
•    As a freshman (2008), redshirted and did not see any game action.
•    Majored in kinesiology and health sciences at William and Mary.

PERSONAL:  
•    Attended Warwick High School (Newport News, Va.), playing at safety, corner and as the team’s return specialist.  Registered seven career interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.  
•    As a senior, averaged 18.2 yards per punt return and had three returns for touchdowns.
•    Named first-team All-Peninsula District as a defensive back his senior year and received honorable mention honors as a junior.
•    Was also a standout track performer who recorded a career-best time of 6.6 in the 55m dash and also excelled in triple jump and long jump.  Named to the All-America Team in track.
•    Also lettered in basketball.
