Biography

 
PRO: Derek Hagan joined the Titans as a free agent on June 17, 2014 to provide depth and competition at wide receiver.  The 6-foot-2-inch, 210-pounder has amassed 129 receptions for 1,480 yards and six touchdowns in his first seven NFL seasons.  The former third-round selection of the Miami Dolphins has also spent time with the N.Y. Giants, Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
•    In 2007, Hagan saw action in all 16 games for the Dolphins and grabbed a career-high 29 passes for 373 yards and two touchdowns.
•    In 2012, Hagan played in 14 games and posted 20 receptions for 259 yards.

TITANS TIDBITS:  
•    Hagan spent the 2013 season working as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports Radio on the Jason Smith Show.
•    Hagan helps promote GameBreaker Helmets, which is a uniquely designed performance cap for athletes. The helmets helps reduce the nicks and abrasions that come with playing a contact sport. The company has gained a foothold in a number of California high schools.

•    Started 36 of 50 games at Arizona State (2002-2005), totaling 258 receptions for 3,939 yards and 27 touchdowns.  Finished his career as the Pac-10’s all-time leader in receptions, and ranked second in conference history in career receiving yards.
•    Left Arizona State as the school’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, 100-yard games (18).
•    Named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award (Best Wide Receiver) as both a junior and senior and was a three-time All-Pac-10 selection (first-team 2005; second-team 2004; honorable mention 2003).
•    Selected a two-time All-American by Rivals.com (Third-team 2005; second-team 2004).  Earned an invitation to the 2005 Senior Bowl.
•    Named first-team All-Pac 10 as a senior, when he caught 77 passes for 1,210 yards and eight touchdowns.
•    In 2004, caught 83 passes, the second-most in school history.
•    Has two of the top five receiving seasons in school history.
•    Named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team by the Sporting News.
•    Majored in interdisciplinary justice studies at Arizona State.
