PRO: The Titans signed Dorin Dickerson as a free agent on June 19, 2014 following a tryout with the team during their mini-camp.  The 6-foot-1-inch, 226-pounder was originally a seventh-round draft choice of the Houston Texans in 2010.  Prior to arriving in Tennessee, the University of Pittsburgh product spent time with the Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions.

TITANS TIDBITS:  
•    Dickerson was a versatile player during his time at the University of Pittsburgh.  He began his career as a freshman wide receiver, before transitioning to linebacker as a sophomore.  During his final two collegiate campaigns he lined up at tight end.
•    Dickerson’s father, Randy, played college basketball at Kansas State and Lock Haven.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
•    The Oakdale, Pa., native was originally selected by the Houston Texans in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
•    Played in 46 games at Pittsburgh – eight at receiver, 12 at strongside linebacker and 26 at tight end – while making 11 starts at tight end.  
•    Posted 63 career catches for 708 yards with 12 touchdowns and carried the ball five times for 50 yards a score.  Also returned 10 kickoffs for 106 yards.
•    Tallied 15 tackles, one quarterback pressure and a pass defensed.
•    As a senior, became the first Pittsburgh tight end since Mike Ditka in 1960 to earn first-team All-American honors from the Football Writers Association and the first ever school tight end to be named First Team All-Big East Conference.  Was also a John Mackey Award finalist.
•    In 2009, finished second on the team with 49 receptions, the second-best season total by a Panthers tight end.  Gained 529 yards and his 10 touchdown catches tied for sixth on the school’s overall season-record list and established a new mark for Pittsburgh tight ends.
•    In 2008, played his first season at tight end, appearing in 13 games, while starting two.  Posted 13 catches for 174 yards and two touchdowns.  Had two rushes for 25 yards.
•    In 2007, played in all 12 games as a reserve Sam linebacker and had 15 total tackles.
•    In 2006, played in eight games, primarily seeing time at wide receiver and on the kick return unit.
•    Majored in communications at Pittsburgh.
