PRO: The Titans selected Josh Carraway in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft to add depth to the outside linebacker position.  The 6-foot-3-inch, 242-pounder is a two-time All-Big 12 first-team player that found success rushing the passer at Texas Christian.  Carraway led the team in  sacks in each of his final two campaigns on campus.  He also has a knack for creating turnovers having notched four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an interception for the Horned Frogs.  

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:  
•    Carraway registered a combined 17 sacks in his final two seasons at Texas Christian and became the first player to lead the Horned Frogs in sacks in consecutive years since former first-round pick Jerry Hughes in 2008-09.

TITANS TIDBITS:  
•     Carraway is interested in raising more awareness for heart disease.  His mother, Valerie Taylor, passed away from the disease when Josh was just seven years old.
•     Carraway’s father, Glenn, was on the first basketball team at UT San Antonio and he played pro ball briefly in Mexico.  Josh grew up playing basketball and is a huge fan of Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
•    The Flower Mound, Texas, native was selected by the Titans in the seventh round (227th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft.

COLLEGE:
•    During a four-year career at Texas Christian, Carraway played in 43 games and amassed 133 tackles, 19 sacks, 27.5 stops for loss, four fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, an interception and two passes defensed.    He was a two-time All-Big 12 first-team honoree and a 2016 Academic All-Big 12 recipient.

AS A SENIOR (2016), received first team All-Big 12 honors after starting all 13 games and tallying 49 tackles, eight sacks, 11 tackles for loss, five quarterback hurries and a forced fumble.  Became the first player to lead the Horned Frogs in sacks in consecutive years since Jerry Hughes (2008-09).  Received Academic All-Big 12 recognition.  
•    Against Arkansas (9/10), collected six stops, including a sack.
•    Against Oklahoma (10/1), recorded six tackles, including a sack and a forced fumble.
•     At Kansas (10/8), named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after posting three sacks, all in the fourth quarter, including back-to-back snaps on the Jayhawks’ final drive.  His eight tackles in the contest, including four for loss, tied a career high.

AS A JUNIOR (2015), named first team All-Big 12 and second team Associated Press All-Big 12 after starting all 13 games and posting 47 tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss and nine sacks.  Also notched three fumble recoveries, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.
•    Against SMU (9/19), finished the game with six total tackles, including three stops for loss and 2.5 sacks.
•    At Oklahoma (11/21), tallied eight tackles with 3.5 stops for loss and 2.5 sacks.
•    Against Baylor (11/27), registered a 56-yard fumble return against for a touchdown, the second touchdown of his career.  Later had a sack and a forced a fumble after Baylor drove to the TCU 19-yard line in the fourth quarter.
•    Against Oregon (1/2), recorded four tackles, including a sack, in the Valero Alamo Bowl win over the Ducks.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2014), appeared in all 13 games, including seven starts and totaled 33 tackles, two sacks, five stops for loss, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
•    Against Samford (8/30), opened the campaign with a season-best six tackles.
•    Against Texas Tech (10/25), recovered a fumble against the Red Raiders, setting up TCU’s final score before the half.
•    At Texas (11/27), found the end zone with a 33-yard interception return for TCU’s final points of the game in the 48-10 victory.  Also forced a fumble, which was returned by Terrell Lathan for the Horned Frogs’ first touchdown of the game.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013), redshirted.

AS A FRESHMAN (2012), appeared in four games and added depth on the defensive line.  Collected four solo tackles on the year.
•    Against Texas Tech (10/20), posted the first stop of his career against the Red Raiders.
•    At Oklahoma State (10/27), totaled two solo tackles.
•    Graduated in May 2016 with a degree in criminal justice from Texas Christian.

PERSONAL:  
•    Attended Marcus (Flower Mound, Texas) High School and was named first team All-District 8-5A and honorable-mention all-state.
•    As a senior (2011), played defensive end and totaled 51 tackles, including 13 sacks.
