    Culminating with the 2017 Pro Bowl game at Camping World Stadium on Sunday, January 29 and televised live at 7 PM CT on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, Pro Bowl week will celebrate all levels of football -- from youth to high school to the NFL's best.

    The 2017 Pro Bowl will feature a return to the traditional AFC vs. NFC game format following three years using a revised, "unconferenced" format. The NFL's best will once again be in the spotlight as 88 players -- 44 from the AFC and 44 from the NFC -- are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches.

Biography

 

PRO: Kevin Malast was re-signed on Dec. 13, 2011 to provide depth as a special teams contributor and reserve linebacker.  He originally joined the Titans on a future contract at the end of the 2010 campaign and was released by the team during the 2011 training camp.  The former undrafted free agent from Rutgers spent two training camps with the Chicago Bears (2009 and 2010) but was released each time in the final roster cutdown. 

TITANS TIDBITS: 
• While awaiting his next football opportunity after being released by the Titans at the end of the 2011 training camp, Malast served as a strength and conditioning assistant in the Rutgers University athletic department for nearly three months.  Malast signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad on Dec. 6, 2011 before joining the Titans’ 53-man roster a week later.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Manchester, N.J., native was originally signed by the Chicago Bears as a rookie free agent on April 27, 2009.
• Waived by the Bears on Sept. 5, 2009.
• Signed by the Bears to the team’s practice squad on Dec. 2, 2009.  
• Re-signed by the Bears as a free agent on Jan. 4, 2010.
• Waived by the Bears on Sept. 4, 2010.
• Signed by the Titans on Jan. 7, 2011 and waived on Aug. 29, 2011.
• Signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars to the team’s practice squad on Dec. 6, 2011.
• Signed by the Titans as a free agent from the Jaguars’ practice squad on Dec. 13, 2011.

COLLEGE:
• Malast was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Rutgers University (2005-08), where he finished his career with 207 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, six passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
• As a senior, elected team captain and led the team with 101 tackles in 13 starts.  Ranked fourth in the Big East in tackles per game (7.8 avg).  Added 6.5 tackles for loss, a half sack, one interception and two passes defensed.
• As a junior, started all 13 games and finished second on the team with 92 tackles.  Ranked fourth on the team with 7.5 tackles for loss and added 2.5 sacks, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
• As a sophomore, played in all 13 games, posting 10 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. 
• As a freshman, saw action in the final six games of the season, mostly on special teams, and tallied four tackles.

PERSONAL: 
• Attended Manchester (N.J.) High School, where he played both linebacker and tailback.  Was a three-time first-team All-Conference selection and first-team All-County honoree.  Named team MVP as a junior and senior.
• Also played baseball and wrestled at Manchester, reaching the state tournament in wrestling as a junior.
• Brothers Bill (New Hampshire) and Brian (VMI) played college football.
