Biography

 
PRO: The Titans added free agent wide receiver Mekale McKay during the 2017 offseason to provide depth and competition in the receiving corps. He originally signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a rookie free agent following the 2016 NFL Draft, but has since spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos. A three-year contributor to the Cincinnati offense, the 6-foot-5-inch, 210-pounder terrorized opposing secondaries and finished his career with 87 receptions for 1,717 yards and 17 touchdowns.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:  
• The Louisville, Ky. native signed with the Indianapolis Colts as a rookie free agent on May 2, 2016.
• Waived by the Colts on Sept. 3, 2016.
• Signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars to the team’s practice squad on Nov. 29, 2016.
• Signed by the Denver Broncos to a futures contract on Jan. 12, 2017.
• Waived by the Broncos on May 4, 2017.
• Signed by the Titans as a free agent on June 6, 2017.

• Appeared in 38 games over three seasons (2013-15) at Cincinnati and tallied 87 receptions for 1,717 yards and 17 touchdowns. Also played at Arkansas for one year (2012) where he appeared in 12 games with 10 starts and caught 21 passes for 317 yards and two touchdowns.
• As a senior (2015), saw action in 11 games and posted 25 receptions for 494 yards and two touchdowns for the Bearcats.
• As a junior (2014), played in 13 games and registered career-highs in receptions with 44, receiving yards with 725 and receiving touchdowns with eight. Also averaged 16.4 yards per catch.
• As a sophomore (2013), appeared in 13 games in his first season as a Bearcat. Totaled 485 receiving yards on 16 catches with seven touchdowns.
• As a freshman (2012), played in all 12 games with 10 starts in his lone season at Arkansas. Recorded 21 catches for 317 yards and two touchdowns on the season. McKay’s 317 yards were second on the team and he tied for fourth on the team in both catches and touchdown receptions.

• Attended Moore (Ky.) High School where he totaled 38 receptions for 894 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior.
• As a junior, was named a first-team all-district selection and an all-region performer.
