PRO: Tanard Davis was re-signed on Jan. 12, 2009 after spending the conclusion of the 2008 season on the team’s practice squad. The cornerback arrived with the Titans on Dec. 2, 2008 and stayed with the team on the practice squad through the playoffs. He previously spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles, St. Louis Rams and New Orleans Saints. After joining the Colts in 2006, he spent the majority of the season on their practice squad. On Sept. 19, 2007, he was signed to the practice squad of the Panthers. On Dec. 26, 2007, the Eagles signed him off Carolina’s practice squad to their 53-man roster, where he was inactive for one game (Dec. 30 against Buffalo). Released by the Eagles on June 13, 2008, he was signed by the Rams on Aug. 13, 2008 and then released on Aug. 29. The Saints added him to their practice squad on Oct. 30, 2008 and released him on Nov. 14. He originally was signed by the Colts as a rookie free agent on May 5, 2006.
