Cole Proctor

Biography

Cole Proctor is in his 13th season with the Titans after spending five years as a scout with the Arizona Cardinals (1994-98).

 

He entered the NFL after recording 24 years of coaching experience that began at Morehead State during the 1967-68 season as a graduate assistant. He then served as an assistant coach at Gardner-Webb for three seasons (1969-71) prior to one campaign (1968) as an assistant at Lees-McRae. Proctor went on to spend three years as head football coach at Keene High School and Chatham Township High and was honored as New Jersey Coach of the Year by the Newark Star Ledger. He returned to Lees-McRae College to serve as head football coach and athletic director for three years (1976-78).

 

Proctor then was an assistant at East Tennessee State (1979-80), San Diego State (1981-85), Iowa State (1985) and Utah (1986-89). He returned to Morehead State in 1989 as head coach and was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 1990. He earned his degree in health, physical education and recreation from Morehead State in 1967 and his master's degree in 1968.

 

A native of Wallingford, Conn., Proctor and his wife, Marti, are parents of Susan and Tom, and have five grandchildren: Josh, Matthew, Abbie, Jack and Connor.
