NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jalston Fowler is back, and he's ready to make an impact.

"That's what I have been preparing for," the Titans fullback said on Tuesday. "Take those big hits, and hopefully knock a couple of guys out."

Fowler was added to the team's 53-man roster on Monday, and he was on the practice field on Tuesday.

He wants to help the running game, and former college teammate Derrick Henry.

"That's the first thing I told (Derrick) when I was coming to work out," Fowler said. "Just get ready for when I come back, we are going to get this thing going. That's my attitude, and that's my approach to the game – to bring the toughness into the locker room."

Fowler was a fourth round pick of the Titans in the 2015 NFL Draft, and he played in 42 games with the team from 2015-17. He's also spent time with the Seahawks and Falcons.

Fowler (5-11, 254) played in college at the University of Alabama. For his NFL career, he has 10 rushing attempts for 20 yards and six receptions for 58 yards.

Fowler said he'd been training in Mobile, Alabama, in recent months. He said coaches told him they planned to move him around in the offense to help the team.

He'd been keeping up with the Titans.

"When they've been on TV I've been cheering for them," Fowler said. "It feels great. Everybody welcomed me, and made me feel like I'm back at home. It's a great feeling coming back."
