NASHVILLE – The Titans are hosting a “Pup Rally” at Nissan Stadium on August 3 before the team’s practice.

The event is in partnership with the Nashville Humane Association (NHA), Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation (RARF), Mars Petcare’s BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program and the PEDIGREE Foundation.

A total of 26 adoptable dogs will be on site from 4:00-6:30 pm at Nissan Stadium’s Gate 1.

A year ago, 40 dogs were adopted during the Pup Rally weekend thanks to the efforts of RARF and NHA.

Titans players, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk, coach Mike Vrabel and general manager Jon Robinson all named a dogs available for adoption a year ago.

Leading up to last year’s event, Ryan encourage fans to rescue dogs from the shelters.

“It's a great opportunity to get the dogs in front of the fans,” Ryan said prior to last year’s event. “I hope it encourages more fans to show up, the animal lovers out there to show up and check out these dogs and come hang out with some dogs and see if you want to bring one home for your family. You get to meet, you get to learn about rescue, you get to learn about my foundation and get to give these dogs a home. I think that animals unite families, so I think it's great.”

The same day as the "Pup Rally" the team is hosting a “Kickoff Party,” presented by Pinnacle, and it will include a scrimmage and then a concert on the field by country music artist Jake Owen.

The August 3 event will be free and open to the public, with no tickets required. Parking at Nissan Stadium will also be free.

Gates for the 6-8 p.m. practice will open at 4 p.m. that Saturday.

Owen will perform on the field at the conclusion of practice.
