NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans running back DeMarco Murray is "day to day" with a knee injury, Titans coach Mike Mularkey said on a conference call on Tuesday.

Mularkey called Murray a "tough guy" and said he won't rule him out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Nissan Stadium.

Murray suffered a knee injury in the closing minutes of the team's loss against the Los Angeles Rams and was helped off the field by trainers.

An MRI was performed, and Mularkey said the result was about what the team expected.

"He hurt his knee, but I am not going to rule him out just yet, knowing DeMarco, based on some of the other things he's had happen to him and how quickly he responds to treatment," Mularkey said. "So I'd say he is day-to-day right now, and just hope for the best. Maybe in a limited role. We don't know yet."

Murray ran for 48 yards on 15 carries against the Rams before suffering the injury. On the season, Murray has 659 yards and six touchdowns on 184 carries. He's fourth on the team in receptions this season with 39 catches (for 266 yards and a touchdown).

Running back Derrick Henry had 25 yards on eight carries on Sunday. On the season, Henry has 693 yards and five touchdowns on 148 carries. He's caught 10 passes for 70 yards on the season.

Mularkey said Henry and running back David Fluellen would carry the load if Murray's injury keeps him from being able to play.
