MIAMI BEACH – Titans running back Derrick Henry spent Thursday on South Beach, but he wasn't hanging out under an umbrella in the sand, and he wasn't getting ready to play in Super Bowl LIV.

And that's a bummer.

"All I have been thinking about is (not being in the Super Bowl)," said Henry, managing a smile. "So it is definitely tough."

Henry instead spent the day on Super Bowl Radio Row, where he made the rounds, doing interviews with outlets across the country.

"It's fun," Henry said. "You get to market yourself, talk to a lot of radio guys, and talk football. Any time you get to talk about football it is always fun, but of course I'd rather be getting ready to play."

Henry spent a segment on SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio with host Adam Schein.

And he reiterated his comments from Pro Bowl week about his desire to stay in Tennessee.

"I want to stay with the Tennessee Titans," Henry said. "They are the ones that took a chance on me – 31 teams passed on me on the draft and they selected me. I have a lot of love for Tennessee. I have a lot of love everyone in that organization.

"And we have grown from the time we got there. (In 2016) we just missed the playoffs, (in 2017) we got into the playoffs and went into the second round. This year we went to the AFC Championship. We have grown as an organization and as a team and I think that speaks volume for the direction we're headed."

During interviews on Thursday, Henry was asked about the team's memorable season, which ended with an AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs. He was asked about quarterback Ryan Tannehill, his contract situation, and his days playing under Alabama head coach Nick Saban, among other things.

Henry appeared on NFL Network, the Dan Patrick Show, Pro Football Talk/NBC Sports, and the Jim Rome Show, among others. Schein also asked Henry about winning the league's rushing title on 2019.

"I want to win a Super Bowl -- it is not about the stats," Henry said. "I want to win a Super Bowl – that's why we play games is to win championships. … I am a team player, and winning the Super Bowl is the highlight."
