TITANS HEAD TO BUFFALO AFTER DRAMATIC VICTORY

Last week the Titans hosted the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Marcus Mariota's 10-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Corey Davis in overtime provided a thrilling ending to a 26-23 victory.

The win gave the Titans three wins in their first four games—their best start to a season since they were 3-1 in 2013. They have not won four of their first five games of a season since building a 5-0 record in 2008.

Facing a 17-3 deficit in the third quarter, the Titans rallied to take a 20-17 lead with five minutes remaining in regulation, only to have the Eagles tie the score to force overtime. In overtime, the Eagles took the lead with a field goal on the first drive of the extra period, but then Mariota directed a 16-play, 75-yard drive that concluded with his game-winning toss to Davis with only five seconds remaining on the clock.

Mariota passed for 344 yards and added 46 rushing yards to give him a career-high 390 combined yards. He connected with Davis and Tajaé Sharpe on touchdown passes and added a two-yard rushing touchdown. It was the fourth-year signal caller's second consecutive week with a game-winning drive, and since the start of the 2017 season, his six-such drives in the regular season lead all NFL quarterbacks.

Davis, the fifth-overall draft pick in 2017, set career highs with nine receptions and 161 receiving yards, and his overtime touchdown was the first of his career in the regular season. His receiving yardage total was the highest by a Titans player since 2011 (169 by Jared Cook on Dec. 24).

Defensively, the Titans tallied four sacks, including a game-changing play by rookie outside linebacker Harold Landry III. In the fourth quarter, the second-round pick recorded his first career sack and knocked the ball out of Carson Wentz's hands. It was recovered by Derrick Morgan, leading to a Titans field goal.

THE BILLS

The Bills are in their second season under head coach Sean McDermott, who was hired in 2017 after six seasons as the defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.

In his first season in Buffalo, McDermott guided the Bills to a 9-7 record and a wild card playoff berth, marking the club's first postseason appearance since 1999. He became only the third head coach in team history to earn a playoff berth in his first season.

Last week the Bills traveled to Green Bay and suffered a 22-0 defeat at the hands of the Packers. It came one week after the Bills went to Minnesota and beat the Vikings 27-6.

Rookie Josh Allen, the seventh-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, has started the last three games for the Bills after Nathan Peterman started their opener. Allen's season totals include 666 passing yards, two touchdowns, four interceptions and a passer rating of 63.8.
