NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans have agreed to terms with safety Steven Terrell.

Also on Friday, the Titans waived (injured) linebacker Gimel President and defensive lineman Johnny Maxey.

Terrell (5-10, 197) visited Saint Thomas Sports Park last week, and worked out for the team.

He’s played for the Chiefs and Seahawks during his NFL career after initially joining the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Texans in the offseason leading up to the 2014 season.

Terrell, who played collegiately at Texas A&M, has played in 42 career games, with five starts. He played for the Seahawks (2014-16) for three seasons before joining the Chiefs, where he played in 10 games in 2017. Terrell was placed on injured reserve last December after suffering an injury while intercepting a pass from Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.

Titans rookie safety Dane Cruikshank suffered a shoulder injury in Thursday night’s game against the Packers.

Last week, the Titans signed safety Kenny Vaccaro after Johnathan Cyprien was lost for the season with a knee injury, and placed on Injured Reserve.
