WINNING AT NISSAN STADIUM: The win over the Patriots gave the Titans a 3-1 home record in 2018 and wins in 13 of their last 16 games at Nissan Stadium. The Titans' all-time record at Nissan Stadium, including playoffs, is 90-70.

TITANS DEFEAT BOTH DEFENDING CONFERENCE CHAMPS: The Titans defeated the Patriots after taking down the Philadelphia Eagles earlier in the season on Sept. 30, thus earning victories over both of the NFL's conference champions. The Eagles defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.  

FIRST-DRIVE SCORING: Helped by a 58-yard kickoff return, the Titans scored a touchdown on their opening possession of the game, driving 40 yards on seven plays. The drive was capped by a touchdown pass from Marcus Mariota to tight end Jonnu Smith. It was the team's fifth game in 2018 with an opening-drive score. They also accomplished the feat at Miami on Sept. 9 (field goal), against Houston on Sept. 16 (touchdown), against Philadelphia on Sept. 30 (field goal) and against the L.A. Chargers on Oct. 21 (field goal).

FIRST TWO DRIVES FOR TOUCHDOWNS: For the second time in 2018, the Titans began the game with two consecutive touchdown drives, scoring on touchdown passes from Marcus Mariota to Jonnu Smith and Corey Davis.

POINTS IN FIRST QUARTER: The Titans' 17 points in the first quarter was their largest output in the first stanza since scoring 21 points against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 13, 2016.

TITANS SCORE 24 IN FIRST HALF: The Titans totaled 24 points in the first half, giving them their highest total in the first two quarters of a game since scoring 35 points in the opening half against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 13, 2016.

FIELD POSITION: The average starting field position for the Titans was their own 34-yard line, which was their most favorable starting field position of the season. They began three drives in the first half in New England territory. The Patriots' average drive began on their own 24-yard line.

TIME OF POSSESSION: The Titans had a 32:57 time of possession against New England, going over 30 minutes for the sixth time in nine games in 2018.

RUSHING OFFENSE: The Titans totaled 150 rushing yards, marking their third game of the season with at least 150 yards on the ground and the third time in their last three games to accomplish the feat (Oct. 21 at L.A. Chargers).

POINT DIFFERENTIAL: The Titans' 24-point victory over the Patriots was the largest margin of defeat for the Patriots since they suffered a 27-point loss at Kansas City on Sept. 29, 2014.

IN THE RED ZONE: The Titans had six trips to the red zone against the Patriots and scored four touchdowns. In their past two victories over the Cowboys and Patriots, they scored a combined eight touchdowns on 11 possessions inside the opponent's 20-yard line. The Titans scored touchdowns on all three of their goal-to-go possessions against the Patriots.

EFFICIENT DAY FOR MARIOTA: In his 50th career regular season game, Marcus Mariota completed 16 of 24 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. His 125.0 passer rating qualified as the sixth-best rating of his career (minimum 20 attempts). He added two rushing attempts for 21 yards.

TWO TOUCHDOWNS FOR MARIOTA: Marcus Mariota completed two touchdown passes for the second consecutive game and for the third time in 2018. It was the 22nd regular season game of his career with at least two touchdown passes, and the Titans are 14-8 in those games. Against the Patriots, he tossed touchdown passes of four yards to Jonnu Smith and 23 yards to Corey Davis in the first quarter. It was the second time in his career with two touchdown passes in the first quarter and the first time since his first NFL game at Tampa Bay on Sept. 13, 2015.

LAST TWO GAMES BY MARIOTA: In a six-day span, Marcus Mariota led the Titans to victories at Dallas (Monday night) and against New England. His passing totals during those two games included a 69.9 completion percentage (37 of 53), 468 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions and a 122.2 passer rating.

MARIOTA ALSO CATCHES PASSES: In the fourth quarter, Marcus Mariota caught a pass from wide receiver Darius Jennings for a 21-yard gain and a first down. It was Mariota's second career reception, in addition to his one postseason touchdown reception.  

ANOTHER SCORE FOR SMITH: On the opening possession of the game, tight end Jonnu Smith caught a four-yard pass from Marcus Mariota to record his second touchdown of 2018 and the fourth touchdown catch of his career. Later in the first quarter, Smith recorded his second-longest career reception for 29 yards to help set up a field goal.

DAVIS TOPS 100: Second-year wide receiver Corey Davis led the Titans with seven catches and 125 receiving yards. He notched his second career 100-yard game and the second-highest yardage and reception totals of his career.   

DAVIS SCORES: In the first quarter, Corey Davis scored on a 23-yard pass from Marcus Mariota. It was Davis' second touchdown reception of 2018 and the second touchdown reception of his two-year career.

LEWIS CARRIES 20 TIMES: Running back Dion Lewis recorded a team-high 20 rushing attempts for 57 yards. His carry total was the third-highest sum of his career and his highest through nine games in 2018. Lewis added two receptions for 11 yards.

HENRY TWICE TO THE END ZONE: For the third consecutive week, Derrick Henry scored on a one-yard touchdown run. He reached the end zone in the second quarter against the Patriots after scoring from one yard against the Chargers (Oct. 21) and at the Cowboys (Nov. 5). Then, in the fourth quarter against the Patriots, Henry took a snap in the wildcat formation and scampered 10 yards to the end zone. Henry, who had a team-high 58 yards on 11 carries in the game, improved his 2018 total to four rushing touchdowns and improved his career total to 14 rushing touchdowns.

SACKING BRADY: The Titans totaled three sacks against Tom Brady and the Patriots. In their nine previous games, the Patriots had not surrendered more than two sacks in a game and had given up 13 total sacks. 

SECOND-HALF DEFENSE: For the second consecutive week, the Titans did not allow a point from their opponents in the second half. Also in the second half, the Titans defense limited the Patriots to six first downs, 17 rushing yards, 100 passing yards and one conversion on seven third-down attempts.  

LIMITING SCORING: The Titans limited the Patriots to 10 points, which tied for the third-fewest points the Patriots have scored in a game since the beginning of the 2014 season. The Patriots did not score in the second half, marking the first time they were shut out in any half of a game since Oct. 2, 2016, when they were defeated 16-0 by the Buffalo Bills.

THIRD-DOWN DEFENSE: The Titans defense limited the Patriots to three conversions on 15 third-down attempts. The 20-percent rate matched the Titans defense's best result of the season (2-of-10 at Miami on Sept. 9).  

SCORING DEFENSE: The Titans improved upon their NFL-leading scoring defense. By giving up 10 points to the Patriots, their opponents are averaging a league-low 16.8 points through nine games. The Titans allowed one touchdown against the Patriots to give their opponents 16 total touchdowns against them in 2018, also the lowest in the NFL.

SACK AND A HALF BY WOODYARD: Inside linebacker Wesley Woodyard matched his career high with 1.5 sacks in the game. In the first quarter, he recorded an 11-yard sack, taking down Patriots quarterback Tom Brady on third down. He then split a five-yard sack with Jayon Brown in the third quarter. The two plays gave Woodyard 3.5 sacks in 2018 and 26 sacks in his 11-year career.  

CAREER SEASON HIGH FOR RYAN: On the final play of the first half, Logan Ryan dropped Tom Brady for a seven-yard loss. Ryan notched his second sack of 2018, which set a career high for the sixth-year cornerback and former Patriot. He improved his career total to 4.5 sacks.

FOURTH-DOWN STOP BY RYAN: In the fourth quarter, with the Patriots facing a fourth down and six yards to go, Tom Brady attempted a pass to wide receiver Julian Edelman. However, cornerback Logan Ryan batted the ball down to end the New England possession.

BROWN IMPROVES UPON TITANS SACK LEAD: In the third quarter, Jayon Brown split a five-yard sack of Tom Brady with Wesley Woodyard. Brown improved his team-leading total to 4.5 sacks in 2018, and he has six sacks in his two-year NFL career.

JENNINGS PROVIDES SPARK: Darius Jennings took the opening kickoff and raced 58 yards to help set up a touchdown. It was the second-longest return of his career. He finished the contest with two kickoff returns for 78 yards, and he also completed a 21-yard pass to quarterback Marcus Mariota that resulted in a critical first down during the fourth quarter.

KERN TIES BRAZILE: With his 147th consecutive game in a Titans uniform, punter Brett Kern passed Craig Hentrich (146) and tied Robert Brazile for third place on the franchise's all-time consecutive games played list. He trails only Bruce Matthews (232) in Titans/Oilers history.

KERN TIED FOR 12TH ON GAMES PLAYED LIST: With his 147th overall game with the Titans, Brett Kern passed Ted Thompson (146) and tied Robert Brazile (147) for 12th place on the franchise's all-time games played list.

PENALTY NUMBERS STAY LOW: The Titans were penalized four times for 35 yards. It marked their sixth time in nine games in 2018 with four or fewer penalties. They have accumulated a league-low total of 41 accepted penalties in 2018.

INACTIVES: The Titans' inactive list included wide receiver Taywan Taylor, defensive back Dane Cruikshank, fullback Jalston Fowler, guard Aaron Stinnie, tackle Jack Conklin, outside linebacker Derrick Morgan and defensive end Matt Dickerson. Taylor (foot), Cruikshank (knee), Conklin (concussion) and Morgan (shoulder) were listed on the injury report prior to the contest.
