Titans QB Marcus Mariota Gathers Receivers for Throwing Sessions in Nashville

MMthrow

NASHVILLE – The Titans kick off their offseason workout program on Monday, but this week quarterback Marcus Mariota and the team's receivers got a head start.

Mariota and at least six receivers spent the past few days throwing passes at a football field in the Nashville area, before lifting weights together. The group also ran hills as they gear up for the start of the offseason work at Saint Thomas Sports Park next week.

After spending the past few months back home in Hawaii, Mariota returned to Nashville this week, and organized the throwing sessions, designed to build further chemistry.

Returning receivers Corey Davis, Tajae Sharpe, Taywan Taylor, Darius Jennings and Cameron Batson were among those on the field with Mariota, along with tight end MyCole Pruitt. Tight ends Delanie Walker and Jonnu Smith are recovering from injuries.

Receiver Adam Humphries, who signed with the Titans in free agency after playing the past four seasons with the Buccaneers, also joined the group.

A year ago, Mariota and several of his teammates worked out in Los Angeles during the offseason.

The Titans are scheduled to begin their offseason program on Monday at Saint Thomas Sports Park. The team will hold OTAs and minicamps in May and June before training camp begins in late July.
