Tuesday's Quick Hits: Marcus Mariota Practices, Facing Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew and the Titans Injury Report

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Tuesday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Thursday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here's a look at three quick hits from Tuesday:

Mariota Practices

Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota practiced on Tuesday and appears to be good to go for Thursday's game.

Mariota first appeared on the Injury Report on Monday with a quad injury. He practiced with a wrap around his upper right leg, but was listed as a full participant in Tuesday's session.

"Several of these guys have talked about it – you are never going to feel 100 percent once the season starts, especially on a short week," Mariota said. "You just have to do everything in your power to get your body physically ready to go. … I feel pretty good."

On the season, Mariota is 33-of-52 for 402 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. The offense struggled in Sunday's loss to the Colts, however, especially on third down.

"It is early in the season," Mariota said. "There are several pieces of the puzzle that we want to get better at and … we have to do a better job executing. We have an opportunity on Thursday night to do that and I am looking forward to the challenge."

Facing Minshew

Quarterback Nick Foles was knocked out of the season opener for the Jaguars with a broken collarbone.

In stepped Gardner Minshew, and the mustached Washington State product has played well as his replacement.

Minshew has completed 45-of-58 passes for 488 yards with three touchdowns and an interception so far.

"He's an accurate quarterback," Titans safety Kevin Byard said. "He's a quarterback who has broken a couple of records as far as having the highest completion percentage or something like that. I think he is playing with confidence. I think the team likes him, and I think they trust him to go out there and make plays and play free.

"It is going to be a great challenge and I am excited to play against him on Thursday night."

Injury Report

Linebacker Wesley Woodyard (quad), fullback David Fluellen (hamstring), cornerback Chris Milton (collarbone) and lineman Kevin Pamphile (knee) did not practice on Tuesday.

Along with Mariota, linebacker Daren Bates (groin), cornerback Malcolm Butler (hip), receiver A.J. Brown (knee), defensive back Dane Cruikshank (ankle), lineman Jamil Douglas (knee) and linebacker Reggie Gilbert (knee) were all listed as full participants in Thursday's practice.
