Biography

PRO: The Titans signed Michael Campanaro during the 2018 offseason to bolster the wide receiving corps and provide depth as a return specialist. The 5-foot-9-inch, 191-pounder spent the first four seasons of his career as a member of the Baltimore Ravens after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The Wake Forest product enjoyed his most productive season in 2017, posting career-best numbers in receptions, receiving yards, punt returns and punt return yards.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
•   In 2017, Campanaro posted career-highs with 19 receptions, 173 receiving yards and a touchdown. Registered his first career return for a touchdown, with 77-yard punt return for a score against the Chicago Bears. 

TITANS TIDBITS: 
•   Campanaro visited with residents of Ellicott City, Md., after the city suffered devastating floods in 2016 that killed two people and left dozens of buildings damaged. He grew up in the small town and helped raise money/awareness for the I Love EC campaign.
•   Campanaro’s father, Attilio, and mother, Lisa, are retired chefs who owned and operated a catering business and café.
•   Campanaro is a diehard LeBron James fan.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
•   The Ellicott City, Md., native was originally selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the seventh round (218th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
•   Waived by the Ravens on Sept. 12, 2016.
•   Signed by the Ravens to their practice squad on Nov. 7, 2016.
•   Signed by the Ravens to the active roster from the practice squad on Dec. 13, 2016.
•   Signed by the Titans as an unrestricted free agent on April 11, 2018.

COLLEGE:
•   Finished his Wake Forest career ranked first in receptions (229), third in receiving yards (2,506) and eighth in receiving touchdowns (14) in school history. Tallied 35 kickoff returns for 828 yards (23.7 avg.) and 26 punt returns for 156 yards (6.0 avg.) and one touchdown. Completed six of seven passes for 174 yards and four touchdowns, adding 51 rushes for 238 yards and two touchdowns.
•   As a senior (2013), started all eight games he played and earned second-team All-ACC honors while leading the team with 67 catches for 803 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Missed the final four games with a shoulder injury. Posted a school-record 16 catches against Louisiana-Monroe.
•   As a junior (2012), named second-team All-ACC and a two-time ACC Receiver of the Week honoree after finishing with a career-high 79 catches for 763 yards and six touchdowns.
•   As a sophomore (2011), played in 12 games with 11 starts and caught 73 passes for a career-high 833 yards and two touchdowns. Earned third-team All-ACC honors from Phil Steele.
•   As a redshirt freshman (2010), played 12 games with one start and led Wake Forest in kickoff returns (28), kickoff return yards (679) and kickoff return average (24.3).
•   Redshirted as a true freshman in 2009.
•   Graduated with a degree in communications at Wake Forest.

PERSONAL: 
•   Attended River Hill (Clarksville, Md.) High School, where he gained over 6,500 yards and 90 touchdowns during his three-year varsity career. Posted eight career kick return touchdowns.
•   Helped the Hawks to consecutive 2A State Championships (2007-08).
•   As a senior (2008), earned Washington Post All-Met and Howard County Offensive Player of the Year honors. Rushed for 1,848 yards and 29 touchdowns and caught 17 passes for 266 yards and seven touchdowns. Also posted 71 tackles and seven interceptions as a defensive back.
