Biography

PRO: The Titans traded for L'Jarius Sneed during the 2024 offseason to bolster the leadership and add a veteran presence to the secondary. The 6-foot-1-inch, 192-pounder arrived in Nashville having amassed 10 interceptions and 40 passes defensed in his first four NFL regular seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs (2020-2023). The Louisiana Tech product also has an abundance of postseason expereince having started 13 postseason contests while collecting 75 tackles, two sacks, an interception and seven passes defensed in his playoff career.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Sneed won a pair of Super Bowl titles (2022, 2023) as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.
• In 2023, Sneed amassed 78 tackles, two interceptions, a career-best 14 passes defensed and a fumble recovery.
• In 2022, Sneed posted career-highs with 108 tackles and 3.5 sacks to go along with three interceptions, 11 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

• After playing wide receiver at Minden (La.) High School, Sneed converted to cornerback at Louisiana Tech and saw playing time in his true freshman season. His initial collegiate campaign was highlighted by an interception return touchdown against Western Kentucky in the Conference USA Championship Game.

CAREER TRANSACTIONS:
• The Minden, La., native was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fourth round (138th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
• Traded by the Chiefs to the Titans along with a 2024 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick and a 2025 third-round selection on April 1, 2024.

SEASON RECAPS:

2023 (16/16, 4/4 - Kansas City): Started 16 games at cornerback and registered 78 tackles, two interceptions, 14 passes defensed and a fumble recovery. Was inactive for the regular season finale. Started all four postseason games and amassed 17 tackles, three passes defensed and a forced fumble while helping the Chiefs to back-to-back Super Bowl championships.
• Against the L.A. Chargers (10/22), collected six tackles and intercepted a Justin Herbert pass intended for Donald Parham Jr. in the third quarter.
• Against Philadelphia (11/20), recorded three tackles while picking off a Jalen Hurts pass intended for A.J. Brown in the second stanza.
• Against Buffalo (12/10) posted seven tackles and a season-high three passes defensed.
• At New England (12/17), tied a season-high with nine tackles, including two stops for loss and two passes defensed.
• Against Miami (1/13), produced four tackles and two passes defensed in the wild card matchup.

2022 (17/17, 3/3 - Kansas City): Started all 17 games for the first time in his career and posted career-highs with 108 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Added three interceptions, 11 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Started all three postseason games on the road to a Super Bowl title and tallied 17 tackles and two passes defensed.
• At Arizona (9/11), notched eight tackles, a seven-yard sack and a pass defensed.
• At Tampa Bay (10/2), collected a season-best nine tackles, including a 12-yard sack and a forced fumble.
• Against the L.A. Rams (11/27), recorded seven tackles and an interception of Bryce Perkins that he returned 26 yards.
• Against Denver (1/1), posted three tackles while picking off a Russell Wilson pass intended for Jerry Jeudy and returning it 25 yards early in the fourth quarter.
• Against Philadelphia in Super Bowl LVII (2/12), collected seven tackles and two passes defensed in the victory.

2021 (15/15, 3/3 - Kansas City): Started 15 games at cornerback and notched 76 tackles, two interceptions, a sack, seven tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Was inactive for two contests. Started all three postseason games and collected 27 tackles with an interception.
• At Philadelphia (10/3), collected four tackles, including a 21-yard strip sack of Jalen Hurts but the loose ball was receovered by the Eagles.
• Against Green Bay (11/7), registered six tackles and an interception of Jordan Love.
• Against Dallas (11/21), posted six tackles and three passes defensed, including an interception of Dak Prescott late in the fourth quarter.
• Against Cincinnati (1/30), recorded a postseason-high 10 tackles to go along with an interception of a Joe Burrow pass intended for Ja'Marr Chase early in the fourth quarter.

2020 (9/6, 3/3 - Kansas City): Saw action in nine games with six starts at cornerback as a rookie and posted 41 tackles, three interceptions, two sacks and seven passes defensed. Selected to the PFWA All-Rookie team. Placed on injured reserve on Sept. 30 and missed six contests before being designated to return on Nov. 21. Did not play in the regular season finale. Started all three postseason games and recorded nine tackles, including two sacks and two quarterback pressures.
• Against Houston (9/10), started in his NFL debut and collected his first career interception by stepping in front of a Deshaun Watson pass intended for Brandin Cooks and returning it 39 yards early in the fourth quarter. Added three tackles and another pass defensed.
• At L.A. Chargers (9/20), recorded an interception for the second consecutive week by picking of Justin Herbert at Chiefs' five-yard line. He became the first rookie cornerback to record an interception in the first two games of the season since Marcus Peters did so in the first two weeks of the 2015 season.
• At Miami (12/13), tallied a season-high eight tackles to go along with a pass defensed.
• At New Orleans (12/20), collected three tackles, an interception, three passes defensed and a sack. Picked off a Drew Brees pass intended for Lil'Jordan Humphrey in the first quarter. Notched the first sack of his career, dropping Brees for a loss of nine yards.
• Against Cleveland (1/17), made his postseason debut and registered six tackles, including an eight-yard sack of Baker Mayfield.
• Against Buffalo (1/24), posted five tackles with a 15-yard sack of Josh Allen in the first quarter.

COLLEGE:
• Appeared in 51 games during his four seasons (2016-19) at Louisiana Tech and tallied 179 tackles, six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, eight interceptions (three returned for touchdowns) and 28 passes defensed.
• As a senior (2019), moved to safety and started all 13 games while earning All-Conference-USA second-team honors. Registered a team-high 73 tackles to go along with 3.5 tackles for loss and three interceptions including one pick-six.
• As a junior (2018), saw action in all 13 games with 12 starts and posted 59 tackles, eight pass break-ups and three interceptions returned for 43 yards with a touchdown. Named All-Conference USA honorable mention.
• As a sophomore (2017), played in 11 games with six starts and recorded 30 tackles, an interception and six passes defensed on the season.
• As a freshman (2016), played in all 14 games for the Bulldogs, making two starts in the final two games of the season. Registered 17 total tackles and one interception he returned 48 yards for a touchdown.

PERSONAL:
• Attended Minden (La.) High School, earning first-team All-District honors his junior and senior years with All-Area honors his senior season.
• As a senior (2016), was a two-way player that helped lead the team to a 9-3 record, advancing to the second round of the LHSAA 4A state playoffs.
• As a junior (2015), played safety and registered seven interceptions returned for 252 yards and four touchdowns.
